My Hospital Bag

So I know that I am only 30 weeks, but so what if I am ahead of the game. I've compiled all the lists I've found over the Internet, and what I think we are going to need. So here it is...

My List:
  • My towel from home (its big... I'll be happy I get to wrap up my own towel, instead of the thin one from the hospital)
  • Receiving blankets (2 just in case our little guy throws up or poops on one)
  • Going home outfit for the little guy
  • Going home outfit for me (plain t-shirt and yoga pants)
  • Extra outfit for the husband
  • 4 pairs of cotton underwear (idk how many I will leak through)
  • Nursing bra (no wire)
  • Robe & a big sleep shirt (in case I don't want to be in the hospital gown)
  • Thick socks & non-slip slippers
  • Toiletries: deodorants(for me and hubs), 2 toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, Vaseline, & chap stick
  • Little bag with headbands & hair ties
  • Phone charger
  • Mints & gum
  • breast pads (for the leaking)

Well, that its... just a simple list of the things we need, and not too much stuff i don't need.

Well our life just got crazier

Surprise!!!

We are expecting our first baby, in about 7 months there will be a bouncing little bundle of joy. April 27, 2013 is the due date. We had our first doctors appointment and so far healthy (October 5th we get to hear our baby's heart beat!! I cant wait!) I have had my nose in a bunch of different books reading as much as I can , Cody even has one to bury his nose in. I am hoping this next month flies by quickly, because I am tired of the nausea and hunger, and all the other not to nice symptoms that come along with the 1st trimester. I am looking forward to the journey of my first pregnancy and the life long journey of mommyhood!

Michael's Birthday Party

This weekend we had my baby brother's birthday party. Everyone who knows him, knows that he is all about angry birds, even when not playing on the i-pod he still pretends his toys are angry birds and tries to knock over the pigs. So needless to say we threw him an angry bird birthday party! My mom and I had a blast throwing his party.

Mom made and decorated the cake (she does all the cakes for the family)

The family all dressed up in their Angry Birds shirts!

The birthday boy in front of his presents.

I love the angry faces on the cupboard doors, we used THIS FREE TEMPLATE

The kids playing Pop The Pig. The idea of this game is very simple. All you have to do is blow up the "pigs" the green balloons and have the kids sit, jump, however they can think of to pop the balloon without using anything but themselves. They had so much fun playing and it was hilarious for the adults to watch!

Our table set up, We found the hats at Party City, and glued the balloon template to Michael's hat.
We owned the bean bag toss from a gift that was given to Michael a previous birthday.

We found these very cool balloons at Party City.
